Agree. I mean how much trouble is it to turn that QR a few more turns so the wheel falls out? Really, have people gotten this lazy that they have to defeat safety features for tiny extra convenience?
For me, it's a minor irritation that is easily remedied, and then no longer a minor irritation. I find the mounting of disc brake wheels with thru-bolt axles to be irritating in the same kind of way, but there isn't really a way to resolve that, and there are benefits to the thru-axle design. The quick release is elegant in its functional simplicity. The lawyer tabs kind of defeat the simplicity. (IMO, YMMV).
