Yup. You got it. I live in WI also. Approximately an hour from the paved trails and 1/2 hour from the rail trails I speak of. Any given weekend in northern WI (where these trails are) has more people in it from Illinois than there are locals. Minocqua has often been called Illinocqua.
Hayward is the CAMBA MTB trail system. ~120 miles of mountain bike trails in that area. Also draws people in from all over and out of state.
