I have bought and sold dozens of things on CL. Sure you get some lowballers, but it's not that hard to delete those emails. At the high-end people are usually fellow bike nerds. I still keep in touch with a few guys I bought bikes from years ago. I don't use anything facebook because it's a horrible company.
