And I no longer have a bike (not really bad news)
So I had the Trek Roscoe 6. Called Suntour and did the fork upgrade (had a gift certificate for Scheels and so it was actually free to go with their air fork) not a huge upgrade....but free so. I found out my local hiking store has bikes, they are just in the back. So I guess I have a LBS. Anyway, the GF was picking my bike up from Scheels and decided to take it for a test ride. I got home and she tells me I'm going to need to buy another bike since the Roscoe is now hers. While talking to the LBS, they said they have GT, Cannondale, Specialized, and Scott. Scheels has the Trek Roscoe 7 for 1849, I'm trying to come in under that. I'm looking hard at a GT Avalance Expert which my LBS has for 1375 dollas. 1x12 drive train, Rockshox Recon Silver. Honestly all I think I would need is better pedals and a dropper, but I know guys have a LOT more exp than me. So I'm open to opinions.
