Re: the Mooney - I'm guessing pre 1979 as the derailleur cable run over the BB plus horizontal dropouts. My 1979 (Delivered in May) cables run under the BB. Yes, it has horizontal dropouts but that is because I requested them.

When I ordered mine fall of '78, Peter would not promise all 531 or sticker it unless you paid an additional $25 or $59 dollars (it's been a long time). Peter felt strongly that dictating a tubeset limited his judgement on the best tubes for that rider and application. (So thinking best bike, not best resale value?) Mine's not stickered. I didn't ask what the tubes are. It is MUCH stiffer than my 531 Raleigh Competition. (Like night and day, despite having just as long chainstays.)
