I would get a 6gallon porter-cable compressor (on-sale at HD for $99 right now). Then buy the air hose and tire pressure gauge at Amazon. You are looking at maybe $150ish in total expense. You can use the compressor for DIY around the house and so much more.
I have one but I basically bought it to air dry my bike when I clean it
. I use it for other stuff around the house once in awhile and to inflate car tires as well. However, I still use a pump for my bikes.
