I've never seen a chart that definitively says "use these for 36 holes", which leads me to wonder if they just kept using the same spokes for the front wheels when they converted from 32 to 36 holes. I imagine you would have different lengths for the back when they went 40 x4 to 36 x3, but that's another subject. The only difference for the front is the number of spokes goes from 32 to 36. Cross pattern, hub, rim, all the same. Leads me to wonder if I couldn't use the chart as a starting point and just go a size or two up or down...
