All these cool mainly 90s and late 80s bikes which was the end of an era as steel was being displaced by aluminum and of course carbon fiber. How about a 1972 Schwinn Sports Tourer as the plain gauge chrome moly tubing used was slightly oversized at 29.5 mm. This is the bike I recently picked up:
