Yep, I think that's part of the design brief for those things.
The only time I ever got sea sick was when I was down below on a whale watching excursion in Monterey. I was chatting up photography with another guy on the trip, when the diesel fumes got ahold of me. I left all my gear down below and ran up to heave over the port side. My wife and kids watched and got a real kick out of that.
Fumes from wet fuel or exhaust? You haven't lived until you've changed a racor in the airless bowels of a sailboat, bopping around in the godawful seaway that flooded the thing with tank crud. I'm normally immune to the very worst bay chop, but not with diesel in the mix.
