A good friend and former co-worker regularly went out riding with me, a few years before we were separated after a major layoff. In those days she was 5'10 and about 260#. She rode a Trek 1000 road bike, the aluminum one, and rode a tandem with her husband. On our rides we usually took a hilly metropark loop on which we both struggled up the hills, but rarely walked. Re: shorts! She always bought them from Terry. Her reason was the same as my wife's: fit. My wife and my coworker have totally different figures, but both looked great in Terry cycling shorts, and found good comfort.
