See, for me that's not a terribly significant difference - it's me taking off a neck gaiter mid-ride. If it's cold enough to warrant a winter jacket at some point on the ride, but warms up to the point where unzipping it halfway doesn't cut it, then it's a pain in the ass temp swing.
I hate that on day rides, but not a problem touring. My big pain there is when I have to put on or remove leg warmers. I can’t get them over my big, red, clown touring shoes.
