Mostly I ride in old Nike Fly running shoes with black knit fabric. This time of year I have glamorous black duct tape across the toes to block wind, but you can’t really tell anything about my shoes because they are always covered in trail dust and splatter.
Sometimes if it’s below 40 F I will wear my low cut hiking boots that are Vasque Juxt. They are slightly warmer but a bit more squirrelly on platform pins because they have tread.
Platform pedals: VP-538 on the MTB and MKS RMX on the road frame.
