Drillium Dude Bummer about the spoke breakage. Unusual place for a break, especially on a front wheel. I wonder if the spoke had somehow been damaged or gouged on the side beforehand. Next time you can twist the remaining spoke around an adjacent spoke to prevent it from smacking the fork. As a Clyde who rides light race wheels, I typically bring a spoke wrench just in case of in-ride adjustments, plus it doubles as a valve core remover in case I need to add sealant.
