He's definitely real, right down to the size and weight, the gymshorts and no shirt, the lack of a helmet, and the somewhat bleary affect. Not only that, a couple weeks back I stopped to talk to him a bit, and he proudly showed off the loop of brown twine he was using to pull his rear brake pad off the wheel, instead of loosening the mounting bolt and re-centering the calipers.
