Speaking of health and biking, a very fine gentleman and dedicated cyclist hit a utility pole in Holliston, MA and suffered serious head, hip and other injuries. His helmet broke but no doubt prevented worse damage.

I have no idea what precipitated his accident but was reminded by a North Carolina transplant how bad are our spring roads with heaved open cracks and pot holes. Kepp your eyes on the road and not on my snappy odometer or other gizmos and gadgets.
