ding ding ding - yes ! Allegheny River trail
we started at Emlenton and went through the Rockland Tunnel - and then continued north (maybe 5 miles - not far from the Kennerdell Tunnel) before we returned (and stopped at the Emlenton Brew Haus for a great burger and beer !)
I was just there on the Friday after Labor Day. Started my tour in Vienna, OH. Rode to Franklin and camped along the ART. Rode the trail the next morning and continued on to Shippenville.
Stopped along the trail and walked up to the bridge that carries the Sandy Creek Trail across the river.
Saw two bald eagles that morning. One in camp in Franklin and the other along the ART.
