you sure can, wet sanding afterward can yield a decent finish for that budget. people does it on cars as well, i never get the part where they spent 20 dollar worth of paint and spent 50 hours polishing it tho'

to the OP: the color choice looks great with the red highlight! glad to see one that doesn't get a lime green paint job and chop off bullhorn(the usual schwin theme in my area)
