I just lie the bike on it's side on a blanket in the Trailblazer. Oddly, there was more room in the old S-10 Blazer because the seat folded flat. The only bike I ever had to take the wheel off of is my newest mtb. It has a 1240mm wheelbase, or so, and 800mm handlebar.
