EDIT: I put cadence and speed sensors on the Cannondale, wore my MR strap, and stuffed the Garmin head unit in my jersey, which worked fine. But so far I can't bring myself to put sensors on the Circuit.
The newer Fitbit Charge 4 now has standalone GPS (previously it tethered to a smartphone for location services). It also (obviously) does HR, though not as well as a chest strap or good optical armband. Regardless, at ~$150, it's a pretty flexible and inexpensive way of tracking rides/efforts.
