I guess there is an advantage to having only one bag - the spare tube doesn't age more than about 6 months before its needed! Partly compensates for the 3 minutes it takes to swap it every time I change bikes.
I have one bag on my bike and my wife has one on hers. I found a couple/few bags when cleaning some stuff out and threw one on the bike that gets the least action. So there’s really only 2 tubes that really need to be checked.
