Sup Larry! Did anyone stop while you fixed the chain? If they did you may be OK at least until the next incident. Your chain shouldn't be falling off. Is this a single speed you kludged or a proper bike? If it's cobbled, check your chain line and be sure you are using a "narrow wide" chain ring.
