The Icon gloves are about $75, so not cheap but you do get what you pay for. I would certainly buy another pair if I needed them.
The receiver gloves do have a thicker palm than most. That's because the leather is coated or tackified and this adds to the thickness. CUTTERS brand are the stickies. You can use them on bare chrome and they won't slip one bit. The tackiness isn't just a coating with that brand. It penetrates the full thickness of the leather. They may be to sticky for some.
The Icon gloves are still my favourite. The perforations even give you some extra stick when using Soyo grips as it meshes enough with the diamond grip pattern.
