Some front end tweaks to the Shogun. After a number of rail trail rides since I picked it up from Tom K. I determined that I wanted a longer stem and I’ve had a 110 Cinelli lying around since I pulled it off my Mercian in 2007. Of course, once that was in flight I had to fiddle some more! I got a set of 50cm Rando bars from the Velo Orange sale, replaced the Weinmann levers with a nice pair of drilled 600s that were languishing in the bin, and added a VO decaleur and front rack so I could use a Cannondale bag I’d previously set up for that mount. Oh, and a bell. Being a tall frame, I still have to close about an inch of space between the rack and the bag bottom. Last time I used this setup I zip tied a black plastic VHS clamshell to the top of the rack. It had the right strength-to-weight ratio and could even be used for storage! But I seem to have less space this time so I’ll see what’s lying around.
