Dealing with addicts and agressive people on rides

Toronto like many major cities has a issue with opioid addiction as well as meth / crank.

Last week I was riding a fixed gear bike on Queen Street and some guy came up to me .. he was obviously on crank or goofballs or something. He had a Bianchi in his hands he obviously stole. He said "he brother. I saw you staring at me..".

I promptly grabbed his bike and launched it across queen street and said "If he was looking to get splattered ..just like his bike.... To keep talking"

He grabbed his destroyed bike and ran away like a SCUM BAG.

Anyways, do you ever encounter agressive people like this on your rides ?!?

How do you handle situations like this ?
