The Stranglers -- I'd forgotten how good their early stuff was and how influential they were on later pop. Seems like many of my favorite movies have at least one Stranglers song in the soundtrack (Snatch, Sexy Beast, a few others).
System of a Down -- because the revolution has come around again.
Rage Against the Machine -- same reason.
Maria McKee, solo and with Lone Justice.
A bunch of jazz, from Bird to Brubeck.

Lately it's been Ween and Frank Zappa
Just yesterday the leader of a smaller group of musicians from the city band I'm in, informed me that "We're getting the band back together". The smaller group is usually a five piece sax group and we play a lot of traditional German music for the retirement homes. Some Dixie and Jazz as well.
