Expensive bikes?, at least they are being raced. I've seen people on $6k bikes who get dropped on group rides during the warm up lol. That being said, if i did have a nice bike (which i don't) i wouldn't ride it in crits (i'm cat 5) for fear of needlessly smashing it.
