Made a game-time decision (on the way out the door) to take the rain bike. The heavy mist only lasted a few miles, and then I got a break the rest of the way in. 15 degrees warmer at 54F, so I got a break for one more day before I really have to unpack the winter gear.

I was surprised at how heavy traffic was on a Friday. It may just be getting rolling half an hour earlier than usual (to try to beat the rain) put me in heavier traffic, or everyone else had the same idea, or... Who knows why traffic doubles or triples on a given, apparently random, day?
