Having built a number of SS bikes, I have found that about 3 out of 4 of the cheaper ones have annoying clicks. As a result, I have gone to White Industries freewheels. Expensive, yes, but about the same price as getting one cheaper freewheel that doesn't click.

The clicks drive me crackers on the cheapos.
I still use them, but switching to the White on my super secret city bike project.
