Both bikes are back to having touring bars and I got vintage 150mm Control Tech stems for both bikes. One is 0 degrees and the other about 10 degrees.

Also got a normal (short) quill stem adapter with Profile Design brand to use with the Schwinn.

The combination of the 10 degree angled CT stem and an adapter that can drop the stem all the way down to the headset lets me get the touring bars low enough on the Schwinn to get a decent riding position without having to flip them over. I even have about an inch to work with below where I have it set at the moment.

With winter starting to have its effect, the trails are pretty soft, so I’m likely to get a couple of Ritchey Speedmax tires in the wired 700x32 variety, which I hope will go on the old Ambrosio rims more easily than the folding one does.

Also likely to get an SKS S-Blade to keep mud spray off my back side.
