Your post are two different questions. The title asks "which is better?" There is no right or wrong or definitive answer to this. They are both good.
Your second question is "which brand is more popular?" I don't have any empirical evidence, just anecdotal and I believe they are pretty equal in this regard.
Just enjoy each of your bikes and call it a day.
