why does that tower look familiar? when I was in my 20s a buddy & I broke into the tower at the elevated aqueduct bridge & climbed the crumbling wooden steps to the top. I took some pics - should look for those!

The lighthouse is at the northern tip of Roosevelt Island. The Aquaduct you mention is now a park and pedestiran bridge, Highbridge Park. Here's the tower:
