2nd Gen, I think I might be the guy you were looking for. I deployed [Army] at the beginning of December, and I think I mentioned it in a thread on here in November that you responded to.
I'm now at a tiny firebase roughly sling-shot range from Pakistan. We are an exceptionally small-sized element [Infantry squad attached to a Special Forces team], and our facilities reflect that! There is one stationary bike here, but the saddle rails are bent and the resistance unit is gone. Luckily we have a treadmill that works, but the cycling withdrawal is getting a bit out of hand. I've been brewing up spreadsheets with data on tons of possible component combinations for my post-deployment dream bike build. Leaning towards a C'dale Evo tricked out with Zipps and either SR11 or the new Red, with all the fixins to come out sub-13lbs.
I'm pretty well taken care of with care packages from my family, but if anyone has an abundance of road cycling mags laying around, I sure wouldn't turn them down!
