I'm supposedly 100% Welsh but somehow most Welsh have darker hair (think Christian Bale, Geraint Thomas) and I have blonde hair green eyes. So I'm pretty sure the part of Wales I'm from is the one that was invaded by Vikings every other week. Outside of Scandinavia and Ireland, I'm pretty sure we're all very mixed.
my parents are from northern Portugal and likely my ancestors were for millennia as well, my dna profile came back 81% Spanish/portuguese over the years various groups (Celt, Roman, Germanic) made their way I’m so overall my profile is pretty consistent with the historical settlement of the region. I kind of chuckle to myself when someone says they’re 100% Some nationality (usually as trying to signal cultural purity or something) just because even insulated regions like northern Portugal were at some point melting pots of genetic blending
