Don't forget that the local PD has wasted no time in releasing a report blaming the rider for no helmet (despite a helmet having no bearing the mechanics of the crash itself) and the city has launched into high gear for a cyclist education and enforcement campaign - all while completely ignoring that they're the ones who continue to paint sharrows and refuse to install protected bike lanes.

This all will happen 10 times faster than the driver will get someone on the line from their insurance company.
