The place I park my bike during work is a secured room. It has a couple of interesting bikes in it on a regular basis.

This one has been ridden for 14 years as a commuter. It has a trailer attachment on the ND RA.

The other is sort of a surprise that you wouldn't think would be a commuter. Definitely not C&V!

80's Lotus with pantograph Campy Super Record, including the pedals with TI spindles. Columbus SLX with Columbus dropouts, brazed pump peg and Cinelli bottom bracket, now a fixie.

very bad photo of a 531 Dawes

Hope the owner survived this one!

Speaking of Bridgestones... Here's a 'real' Submariner after some action in the lake nearby:

The city does not look like such a friendly place for a bicycle.

The "submarine" bike looks like it would possibly be the LAST bike to get stolen though.

And what with the "non-drive Battaglin", is that the "condom on the seat" gag, also perhaps for theft prevention?

So glad to be out of the cities that I have lived in or nearby to, not that lucrative business/employment opportunities don't offer some temptation.

This one showed up at a "permanent yard sale" near us. It's a UO-9 based rig, not many of which were imported. Steel frame with alloy crank and wheels. Nice little bike with full fenders and rack, but both lights are broken (Soubitez lenses might be hard to find) and the seat and post are missing. The $100 price tag seems a bit optimistic.

A Black rider was waiting at the same signal with me. I demanded information on his bike.

Says his dad bought it new, with custom options. Dad died when the rider was 10 y.o. so he inherited it.

If you look at this 30 year old bike, you can see it has been loved every minute of its long life.
