Generic CAAD10. Sans saddle bag, obv.
I also fixed the gap in the bar tape. Lizard skin freaked me out by saying 'don't stretch' and I put it on a bit loose.

Weight to cost for the whole bike? Yeah, definitely. I got it for a steal from a friend, though. Complete bike (including wheels) with < 80 miles on it, full Force group + Red brake calipers. $1500. Couldn't say no. I guess he got it through an employee and payed almost nothing to begin with. It's only slightly heavier than my S2 with Rival.

judging by the wolfpack hustle sticker on the top tube, it is probably an homage to the 'spoke cards' often seen stuck between the spokes of wheels on urban fixed-gear bikes (i might be wrong)

Correct. Black spoke card = Wolfpack Hustle. Hard to come by. /streetcred Little silly but I love it.

No SoCal on the horizon this year. I got invited by my regular hosts for May (Tour of CA) but my burn rate (not working, "paying" myself out of my savings) is higher than I thought I could keep it, and adding a trip like that would be difficult. Plus either I'd take Junior (Missus would be sad) or I'd leave him (Missus would be super busy). Either way she'd be left.
My hosts out west (both husband and wife are riders, they have 2 kids 11 and 7 I think now) have offered to baby sit Junior while I'm training so it's not like I can't take him, but to fly out for a weekend to 4 or 5 days, which I think is max for the Missus, would be tough to justify.
As it is one of my Christmas presents were "5-hour ride coupons", one of which I've used already. The Missus is quite serious about me using up the rest, whether on the trainer or outside.
Maybe 2014 for SoCal.

Now that is an excellent idea... my fiancee will always act nonchalant when I say I'm going for a ride but by the time I get home 4 hours later she's mighty annoyed. Maybe a coupon will save the day?

Am I the only dude who's significant other encourages me to go ride my bike? Century on a saturday/sunday/friday night (once)? "Sure! Ride safe, don't die."

Part of me wishes she'd tell me to go ride whenever I want for as long as I want, but part of me also likes that she wants to have me around all the time. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Mrs. Fred loves to see me get good milage in. But, starts to draw the line at around 10-12 hours per week.
