Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I got skunked, like several others. I did know it was a word, but there were so many other possibilities and even with an elimination word I couldn't cover all of them.

Dang, I don't see a Basso Ascot fork in there. Guess I'll have to stick with the chrome one I have.

I just got my first 3" tube the other day, man what a beast! I briefly thought I should get one of those weird orange tubes, but I'll learn to live with it.

For most rides near home, I just assume the possibility I'll have to hike 5 miles back to the trailhead if I have a tubeless failure on a ride.

I suppose I could have, but I already had it underway. Not likely something I will pursue further. I don't like to cheat, in general.

I was, recently. I couldn't find what I needed, so I ended up with a new steel fork. This was part of my build for my daughter's college "townie" bike.

Meh. I'm not that emotionally invested to be offended by an occasional loss.
