I have more bikes than shoes, though I have less bikes than bike shoes.

I was a baker in another life, and I od'd on cheesecake and gingerbread. It took a while to be able to enjoy either. It's a good thing I rode 50+ miles a day back then, otherwise I would have been.... Large.

It was just an example. And it could be the truth. There's really no way to know. It comes down to trust. If you think they are honest. Then go for it. Myself I would talk to some people and get a recommendation. Bike fitting is as much art as it is science.

Correct. I am officially "difficult" again.
It would be worth it if the effect lasted for a while. My guess is that it will be short-lived--in a week or so it will be as if it never happened. I'll be happy to be wrong. When doctors raise the possibility of doing a synovectomy you know things are going well.

So, apparently my being a cheap ass, has once again cost me money.
I recently purchased a used Wahoo Snap. It is displaying some odd characteristics. Like not supplying resistance or over supplying it. It worked ok the first time I used it. But has been undependable since. I am fighting a very strong urge to just order a kicr and throw this snap at the guys house.
. But, if you knew it was broken would you have the purchaser come to your house to buy it? I'm trying to be growed up about this but it's hard.
Step 1. Pump up the tire.
Step 2. Spin down calibration
Step 3. This is where do your workout is supposed to go.
So I select erg 220 watts. Ther reading never comes off of 150 watts?
I stop and return to lvl setting. Start out @ 3, slowly advance through all 9 settings. No change in resistance. I revert to 5 . Suddenly bam,, I can barely turn the pedals.
Called Wahoo.. they are off for the holidays.
I'm starting to get a bad feeling about this purchase.

My wife has opted for the Kickr this wet and dreary morning but I'm getting dressed to head out for a very short ride, probably under 20 miles. May be the last ride of the year.

I have held the line somewhere south of 145 through wholesome living.
In other news, I got my shot this morning and Mojo31 is thinking about sex.

Neither the Mrs. nor I are fans of caramel, so if it somehow found it's way into our home it would fit into the garbage.

I wear sandals as often as possible in the summer, I hate hot feet.

Flip-flops all summer except at work, in formal settings, on the bike, and when on a boat and actually sailing; they're fine for motoring or hanging out at anchor or at the dock.

You and I are among the seeming minority who like fruitcake. A college friend of my wife's sends us a loaf of rum-soaked "black cake" every Xmas and my brother makes a batch of an equally saturated cake which he encapsulates in marzipan, which is gilding the lily in my opinion, but still very good.

I don't think that I've ever had it. I don't think that I've ever had Panettone, either, but it seems more appealing, as far as fruity holiday baked goods go. Each of the last few years, I've seen Panettone in stores, and have briefly considered buying before letting my BF-honed hand-wringing back me out of the purchase; I wouldn't want a Sora-level baked good to forever cloud my judgement, but I don't know where to find the 105 or better.

I used to wear sandals a lot, but I have upped my sock tan line game in the last few years, and I can't have sandals muddying things.

And, I will add, anything soaked in rum is a good thing.

If it's warm, it's bare feet around the house all the time. Boat shoes or barefoot on the boat depending on conditions. Sandals when running around.

You're not alone. Mrs. BD starts soaking her fruits in late August . . . wine, rum, & bourbon (potent stuff - no open flames allowed nearby). She brushes more Myers over the top when they come out of the oven. She makes individual loafs which she gives as presents to her friends, she just baked them yesterday and is on her way to deliver to friends as we speak. I actually am low man on the priority pole, if I can manage to squirrel away a couple of loaves I'll make them stretch into the summer.
