Great ride Kev, I'd really like to see more pics of those magnificent stone buildings.

Anyhow, I sat at a desk all day, and I couldn't wait to get a lackadaisical post dinner ride in. I made my way down to the Hudson and snapped a few pictures along the way.

Thanks for the Cornell Steamboat building shot Kev. Seems you have a wealth of industrial era architecture in your area, I love it.

Nice place to ride, Abarth. I'm still fiddling with my meds (just wrote "figgling" if that's any indication) and having up and down days. I'll email you Wednesday about Shogun completion.

Snarky, your son does look like a curious little bugger. Nice shot.

Like me, he's interested in almost anything.
Abarth, I'm just messing with different sleep meds to figure out which ones work, and at what does. So even when we get one that works, we keep upping the dose until it's too much, so we know what will work best. I'm on a "too much" day and really loopy.

Did my usual weekday ride: 12 mi to work. Cold (~32f) and windy (10-20 mph). But it didn't rain! Yesterday (rode then too) we had rain, snow, sleet and sunshine. Central Oregon has 4 distinct seasons: April.

No one cares
With my new found time the past two weeks I've been riding a lot with my son. About 10-20 miles a morning when the weather is decent. We're riding the xtracycle with an adapted kid seat on the back. It's slow and handles like crap, but thats ok because my son loves it.
The weather has turned into great 70-80 degree days and the spring is here. Things are green and it's beautiful out. What more could I ask for?
Broken arm and all, he's having a great time.
When we're not riding we like to color. Thank God for washable crayons.

I did a quick 20 mile loop today. A lot of traffic lights and such, and a couple fairly long climbs. I'm still in pretty crummy shape so it took about 1:05.
To be fair I did it on my modern Motobecane. I have done the same loop on my vintage Schwinn(8lbs heavier) in about the same amount of time just because I have an easier time selecting gear ratios with the bar-ends and 12-speed kit than I do with the brifters and 30-speed kit...

Whenever I see the title of this thread, I remember a chant that was popular in the 60s that went "Hey, Hey, LBJ...."
Perfect cycling weather today.

I'm taking the Motobecane on a 30-miler tomorrow will post a photo or two (assuming my brake calipers showed up).

26 uneventful miles using a dedicated bike/bus route. Visiting my brother in Miami, I brought my 84 focus, which performed flawlessly. I'm very happy with this $20 bike.

Snow melted enough that I could get up in the hills with the steel 93 Scott Comp Racing. Quick out and back ride totalling 16 miles.

I didn't ride anywhere, unfortunately. The Raleigh is still in the shop. The Creme Caferacer, though, had several adventures in NY City. Come see on rideblog. Here's a teaser:

Mostly Mischief
Did the second annual Moab Gran Fondo today, a 55 mile / 5500' climbing course through the La Sal Mountains.. Here I'm getting a ripe strawberry in passing from my wife who was helping at the KOM/QOM aid station. Improved my time by 5 minutes, placed 33 of 270. Lots more strong riders this year. Also experienced gnarly cramps in my quads and calves, starting almost before any climbing, and kept me seated for all the hills. Never had that before - still researching the cause.
Used my 1992 Gazelle 753, with Campagnolo Chorus 8 speed, except a Centaur compact crank. My pre-race check failed to find the loose stem bolt that send the handle bars a-flying on the first climb! Thankfully it didn't happen earlier during the fast paced mostly flat peleton ride up the river road. Here the speeds was rarely below 24mph and I was buried deep in the bunch. Not a place to loose steering..
Nobody else in the first 100 rode steel. Besides that there were maybe a couple.
