Probably a good deal either way, but wheel conversion seems strange? First muddy ride stopped by tire clearance issues? hard to tell but look like brakes now hit at a funky angle? anyone else ever done this?
Recently rebuilt classic Stumpjumper with 27.5" wheel conversion. New wheels, new narrow/wide chainring, new Specialized Saddle for this build. The frame was internally treated with Frame Saver rust prevention and is very solid. Great for gravel bike use or as a commuter bike. It shifts smoothly and the brakes are firm.

Hi Jeff -
You may be right. I haven't had a chance to really look into the bike yet. The paint was a crappy repaint (paint on the chrome lugs in spots), so the color is not a clue (unless of course they chose to spray the same color). In taking a quick look at the Volare, that would be a cool bike, so I don't think I would be upset (especially at the $150 price point) if that's what I have. Without any investigation I am leaning towards it being older than the mid 70's and not a Volare since it does not have any braze-ons, and the harder (for those w/o the right tools/know how) components (Headset, BB, Crank - no date code) are all Campy and their is no sign of any DA. But I wouldn't be surprised if I find out it is something completely different.
Since there was a question in my mind on the bike and how to identify it along with how to build it I am planning to start a thread on it.
Mike

You can also fold it up, put it on a plane and go to Germany to the Foldable Bike World Championship. This YouTube video is in German but gives you a good idea:

Ow, my feelings . . . Kidding, gentle ribbing well deserved and appreciated. "I only know enough to get myself in trouble" Even so, my first thought was Super Le Tour 12.2, but then I blindly believed the ad!
Just to be clear this is not a a Colnago?

Classic foldable bikes are totally underrated. This Peugeot is a gem and looks very stylish.

My response was to the person selling not to the post......BTW, I like the color on the "Colnago", is it factory or a repaint?
Best, Ben
