I will do as many of these as I can fit into our son's zany soccer schedule.

I may get to ride quite a bit with any of the forum members that live near Schaumberg or Rockford.

Five tournaments already scheduled...... with more to come.

I received this lovely B72 courtesy of @rootboy. I've adjusted it several times and have ridden around. Why, oh why, does it take so much futzing around to get one's saddle "just right"?

On a different note, I drove across town and found hen's teeth today...

Nice! Any plans to rehab it besides liberal coatings of proofide? I have a B-72 in worse shape and I have been trying to get it back in usable condition.

They were on an Ochsner that I was looking at buying (partly because I spied the levers on it) from a shop in Prior Lake, but the frame had front end damage. I won't name the shop, but as I pointed out the frame damage to the salesman, the mechanics were saying "wasn't that the one we had to straighten the fork out on". Well, I got out of there fast for cheap with just the shifters, which made it worth the trip to a place I won't go back to.

@dweenk - it's already been installed. I've ridden & adjusted several times. Just about perfect now. Although crackled & dry looking I don't think its been ridden much. Doesn't have significant butt prints in it.
@tricky - I believe that rootboy already had given it liberal amounts of proofide. I gave it a coat of Obeneuf's. Didn't make a difference. Saddle looks just perfect for the bike. Like it's been there the whole time.

We're putting a lot of weight on those tender areas. Getting it right is important.

Not exactly received in the mail but, rather, hand delivered.

My dad has had a rough few years with multiple fractures and a run in with cancer. At 73 I think he thought he would be riding for years to come but he just can't take the risk with the fragile nature of his bones. He's already given me three bikes - a 60's Peugeot PL8, his Klein Comp Pulse and the Spectrum titanium. This past weekend he delivered quite a few of his nicer jerseys (he was big into Primal Wear stuff years ago) and some nice bib tights for winter riding. The kicker was the NOS set of Campagnolo Chorus (at least I'm pretty sure that's what they are) brake levers that he stumbled on in his basement. Another set is on my PX10 (were original to the Spectrum).

Just adding to it I got a visit from D.D. this weekend with a wheelset I can use for big climbs - check out the 14-32 6 spd ratio on these Mavic G40's.

I've never run a set. They're heavier than the Module E's on my Trek 510, but these look a little beefier for the rough chip seal riding I have to do around here. Looking forward to giving them a try.
