Another ride today...I went to work for 4.5 hours and then took a longer ride home. But had to make sure I was home in time to meet friends for happy hour.

Time only for a short ride after walking the dog, seeing the surgeon and the intermittent rain, so made it count riding the back hill. 5.5 miles with 1800’ climbing. Oh and there was 5.5 miles descending to get to the house.

32km yesterday, 50km today, which makes 489km for June. My goal for the month is 600km, and weather permitting, I should reach it.

I was able to ride my bike to work today. But I was not able to extend my ride as I had a lunch date with my granddaughter.

18 miles @ 18 MPH. Tomorrow is hill climb day. No time for pictures since was trying to maintain the 18s.

I did get out and ride this morning. The ride's purpose was to be outside and ride, enjoying the day. Time well spent.

Was the top picture from down towards 19E on the Tennessee side?

God's country, and you were lucky to get a clear enough day to take the picture!

My wife took the picture on the way up. TN side, started at 19E.

I had to wait and hour or so for the fog to clear in the valley and got lucky that it had cleared up on the mountain by the time I made it up.

I did ride today with the hot and humid weather we are having today, also forecasted for the upcoming week. But I went ahead with my plans and rode my bike to the assisted living where I work. Adding in a few extra miles on the way to and back home. The concession I made to the rain (in case it did happen) I wore my water sandals. And yet the showers never materialized. So a good ride today.

Solo century

Took a little jaunt around my part of the world yesterday, hit many of the quilt gardens along the way.

Yes, I rode today.

Only a warm up ride this morning, a bit over 6 miles. But I did many miles earlier this week.

On days that I train doing karate in the evening, which can be intense (for the last 48 years), I do only light warm up rides.

Depending on the surface I decide to ride, I choose between three bikes - I choose between 2 hybrid fitness/commuter bikes and a vintage road bike; a retrofitted 1993 Schwinn Crosscut hybrid, a 2022 Giant Escape Disc 1 hybrid, or a vintage 1974 Le Tour road bike (moderately retrofitted, also).

This is a 50 plus thread . . . I am 61, with TWO artificial hips. I still ride regularly between 6-20 miles per run, 2-3 times per week, and do karate no less than 3 times a week (sometimes 5x a week). Do not let physical limitations prevent you from doing what you love. Just moderate the activity in a way that you can do it!

25 miles on the Shining Sea Path in Falmouth on Cape Cod. Near perfect day, which means on the Cape not a lot of wind.

I got two centuries in over the long weekend. One Saturday, one Tuesday on the 4th. Very happy when my fitness is good and my aches and pains are in abeyance.

Well, I actually, I worked on Monday, but it still feels like a long weekend.

Always thankful to post this thread

Been riding in nice 70s & 80s weather.
Continuing the 'ride them all' theme.

Finally stopped raining so I got a longer ride in today. 51 miles which is my first 50+ ride this year. Got kind of hot, upper 80's and humid away from the coast. Kennebunk and Kennebunkport.

Always thankful to post this thread

Perfect weather = cool mornings ~50*F and warm afternoons 70*s.
I love tubular tires. And other things about cycling. Undecided about Goat Yoga.

Pretty landscaping

Little lanes

People out horsing around

Goat yoga - who makes this stuff up?
