Will somebody please nail that Sekine pie plate to their garage wall! I'm regretting not doing so myself!

It has come full circle, I’m the one who placed it in the BOC as the final player of round eight, for the cost of shipping I’ll throw in the bejeweled head badge…

I think the issue of what goes into the box relies on how people define the word "crap". I've always thought of it as a euphemism, not an actual description of stuff to put in the box.

A second way to consider that part when contemplating its addition to the box: If the box came knocking at my door, would I think of it as "trash" or "treasure"?

Finally, think of Marie Kondo. If it's nice but just doesn't give you joy anymore, donate it.

That's why I did the mystery boxes...a few good items that justified shipping, and then letting someone donate the rest to a co-op (I have none remotely in my vicinity).

Boc px10

The Box O Crap is on its way to Mountaindave. I still need a photo of my take but a few of the parts went straight from the box to my PX10 (after a little cleaning and a dap of lube). I was nearing completion of the build when the box arrived.

The Campy shifters were pretty hard to resist and complement the cable guide pretty well. The toe straps add a welcome bit of color and the 14-30 SunTour freewheel came via the BOC in round eight.

My take:

Very excited to try out the Galli calipers, I suppose I need to find some hoods for the levers. Thank you all.

The BOC has arrived at my doorstep. I’m recovering from Lasik surgery today, but I promise I will be able to get to it by this weekend. Sorry for the slow down. The box also arrived at possibly the most busy time of the entire year for me so far. Just the way it works. But I will get to it. I also have some special goodies from the crap master to add to the box. Let the crap floweth! (and thank goodness for speech to text!)

@mountaindave,
I trust you are recovering from the surgery and taking your eye drops seriously. Are we are finally going to get pictures of your mounted double head Parks stand with some Box O' Crap parts and stickers, perhaps even a sticker on the Park stand? Once again I am asking for new players to step up and join in the "passing around the crap" fun. We are a small sub group of forum members that seem to have a special bond because of the Box O" Crap and the special parts found within. New players sign up here on the thread. Smiles, Crapmaster Honk

Glad you took those Gallis! I used them in the early 80s on my Zeus Pro, they were good stoppers. They needed a good home. Enjoy!

Not likely to find any NOS hoods anytime soon. I had some (probably still do) and asked iab to make some reproductions, but something in the (black) rubber reacted with the mold compound and prevented it from curing.

Great idea, given the simple shape of the body the Galli levers should be perfect for that method.

While I’m at it thank you to whomever placed the red toe straps in the Box, they make my MKS BMX pedals just a little more pleasing to look at, I’d replace them with a better looking part but they ride so damn well.

Dear Crapmaster Honk,

Please add me to the list. I have done two rounds of BOC in the past, and I took a leave from the BOC due to moving into a new house. I am ready to rejoin the BOC ranks. Thank you!

@Nwvlvtnr, are you missing bolts that go between your chainrings? Better get them in there ASAP.

I mis-timed that strategy this time around. It's like the world accelerates to warp 20 when Neal jumps in line.
