125 miles yesterday, a personal best. Rode 84 in the morning until afternoon, then another 41 late evening.
Some days you have it, and some days you don't. Yesterday, I definitely had it.

47 miles down PCH to Malibu. Felt good at the start, massive headwind coming home, and I kind of led another rider home who wasn't feeling well. This guy had a bad day, of which I've had plenty, so I didn't want to just dump him and ride on. We still managed a 16 mph avg, wind and all. When we got back to the park, everybody else was gone.
My Culprit near Magu Rock.
Looking south to the dunes. No more K-rail, just us and the cars.
Great day to ride.

Did my first century yesterday - 175 km/109 mi (solo, on a hybrid, 15% gravel, 7:05 saddle time + about 2h worth of breaks). Next goal - 200 km

11.5 miles today. 25 yesterday. I had to cut yesterday short when my Di2 front derailleur lost its mind. I rolled up to a stop light in the big chainring, the light changed and at about walking speed, very little pedal rotation, I shifted out of the big ring, and the chain jammed, locking the crank. Not fun in traffic. I was able to shift it back and forth to free the chain, while still on the bike. As I rode on, the chain kept hopping off the big ring every time I shifted to it. There was also constant grinding of the derailleur cage on the inner ring. I cut the ride short and headed home. I got this bike new in 2013, and the Di2 has been totally trouble free. I did some online research on tuning and adjusting Di2, and decided to go for it. After a good cleaning, I located the limit screws, did an electronic reset, and its all good again. I did 11.5 miles this morning, no chain drops, all good as new again. Hope it lasts another 6 years. I'm sure the jam was due to shifting with too little pedal rotation at too slow a speed. First time for everything, I guess. I've been riding vintage a lot lately, and not showing the modern carbon much love. I guess it was payback time.
Yesterday's ride, before heading home. Bradley Road, in Somis, CA.
Di2 all cleaned up to show limit screws. Never had to touch them before.

30 miles . . . I'm now combining courses to stretch out my short rides. In this case I combined two 15 mile courses.

Set out for a sunny 20 miles, yet did 27 in an on the spot monsoon.
Any more rain and I'll have to get a pedal boat.

37 miles today, Ventura to Ojai via Lake Casitas. Nice ride going up, hot in Ojai, cool Breeze riding back, 20° temp. swing. Nice ride, tired legs coming back.
Along Casitas Pass, finally a little water in the lake.
Looking back down the hill.
Ojai US Post Office, nice tower.

Lately I've been doing a 23 miler after work a couple times a week with longer rides on the weekends (35-55 miles). Slowly getting back into shape after not riding since last fall.

Just a 14 mile buzz down to Floyd Bennett Field and back along Jamaica Bay. Stiff winds coming back; spun along in low gear (Sturmey-Archer hub drew praise from a roadie I met along the way. Drop bar 3-speeds are indeed fun).

67.8 miles, but only 2,382 feet total elevation gain.
Easy ride, only one small break with one GU gel was all it took.
