Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I had been lusting over the new Wilier Gran Turismo and the new Roubaix SL4, but alas, I do not have the budget to make either of those happen. that said, there's something viscerally pleasing about riding a well made chromoly frame.

All of the above is going on an All City Mr. Pink, so it's all compatible(need a clamp adapter for the front derailleur). I've fit myself to a handful of bikes before and am fairly confident that the stem length/angle and seatpost setback(or lack thereof) will be fine.

I've never seen a rain jacket that was so lightweight. It will be my every day jacket to fend off the rain and the cold.
Please, kindly do a review as soon as you've put some miles on this. I am very interested in how you rate all its attributes (waterproofness, windproofness, breathability, reliability, quality of construction and packability).

Thanks.

Will do. Two of my guys ordered the same jacket today, so I'll post their feedback when I get it. One thing I like already is that it's race cut -- ideal for a skinny climber like me. I could fit two of me in a "club" cut jacket.

I bought two different DeFeet base layers. I've been using Craft, but thought I would try something a bit different. The DeFeet arm/leg warmers I have are the best. Doesn't get that colder here, but sometimes 40deg or so when we start off. Decent base layer, jersey, good arm warmers and a wind vest = good-to-go.

I've been thinking about something like that - any concerns about friction/scratches on the steerer tube?

Wow, your bike matches your tires, brakes, brake cable ends, handlebar tape, stem, computer, light, waterbottle cage, waterbottle, and bag.
