Subconsciously performed a Rapha bidon flip after grabbing my seat tube bottle today. I flip pedal wrenches at work a lot so muscle memory must have got to me.

At 170 cm, every bike that I ever owned has had toe overlap. No big deal.
The toes of my shoes are scuffed terribly, especially the right one because that’s the one that I leave clipped in at stops.
Reminds me, I need to polish the toes of my riding shoes.

It is a bit of a self-perpetuating phenomenon, of course - nobody buys bike with 650s because there aren't enough tire choices, the gearing is weird, etc, so nobody bothers to make tires or rational gears because nobody buys bikes with 650s.

The madone overlap is pretty significant, which I found out the hard way. Luckily I didn’t crash, but it was close. Riding through W&M right after my first crash on it, a car stopped enfront of me, I didn’t unclip thinking he was gunna go. I turned my bars slight to help me balance and caught my foot. I looked like an idiot tryin to unclip before I fell. Crisis adverted.

I know small frames are notorious for toe overlap, but the Habanero sure has it (maybe because it's quite short in the top tube), it's really a non issue once you are aware of it and know to ratchet and not pedal through when you are turning the front wheel and going super-slow. I still recall the first time I noticed it in a parking lot...scared me for a second, and then I realized, toe overlap....duh.
