My thoughts exactly!

Channelled my inner PNW today and rode through a steady rain to restock my beer fridge. Actually did the ride twice as I forgot my wallet the first time. No pics.

Edited for pic

JRA again, some fast moments, some slow. I had to stop for this one:

A mixture of trail and road, since I won't pass a certain point on the trail any longer. Still came across a pair of motorcycles weaving amongst myself and a family of cyclists. The roads were actually quite tame in comparison! The above pic is about a mile from the trail's northern terminus.

Got nice break in the weather for a few hours today so I fixed a flat on the Schwinn Mesa GSX and took a ride to Thompson park and did part of the Tie-Hack trail before it gets snowed over till next year.

The temps drop about 20 degrees at the hard snow line which is at about 10,600 right now.

Yes this i is a bike trail.

Comin' back from a ride I passed something new in the neighbourhood.

The chapel, do we call this a chapel (?). is there for many years, since 1939. But the bench is new. It's in the colors of the province I live.

And on the backside is the coat of arms of the province, Brabant.
Maybe a bit strange at first sight but the holy saint in the chapel is the apostle of Brabant. Thus it makes sence.

It was 70, with a 2-3 mph wind, here in Oklahoma City, and Sunday, light traffic, so I did the Jones Oklahoma 50 mile loop. On the OKC Trek ride list. Just a lovely day it was! Rode the 1970 Charlie Roberts with Clement 28’s, which felt great on our lousy roads. Anyway it was nice to stop in Jones and pay homage to Ukraine at the little Ukrainian Church. Slava Ukraini!

Today, in my mind I called this a Nero ride (Neroica?) I.e. fiddling while Rome burns. It was pushing above 80 in my neighborhood, so I took advantage of the opportunity to ride in short sleeves in November up in the mountains. Low to mid 70’s up there.

One of my regular photo stops. Skyline Drive overlook of Moormans River and Sugar Hollow reservoir.

Actually took two rides on this today:

While cleaning up/tinkering after the first ride, I got notification of delivery of the tiny cremation urn for Sacha's ashes. Meant to be worn as a necklace, and half-filled as one would an hourglass, I had other ideas:

Took another ride, about ten miles, and got home just after sunset. Had to do a test run to ensure my little talisman didn't come uncapped or detached along the way. All good so far, and of course, now my six is well-covered

I overcame inertia today, pulled myself outta the easy chair grabbed the bike and rode up into the mountains east of North Bend to find the snow line.
A classic fall storm system passed through the area this past weekend so it was a fairly short ride :-)

I share this picture of my food with my son. It’s kind of a thing we do from time to time. Let’s see what he replies with…

He and his band Khemmis are in the final days of a 6 week tour. Today is a travel day.
He responds almost immediately. Passing through Texas, they’ve stopped at the Cadillac Ranch to have a look around…

No deer, no band mates, no craft brews by the side of a lake, just a nice 30 mile trail ride on the repaired Davidson.
Although I DID ride with @northbend a few weeks ago.

northbend Matt I guess it won’t be long before we’ll need to dial into ski forums for ride reports from you.

Oh I've been around long enough to know it'll be sometime later in December before the base has enough cover for skiing (I don't have any old 'rock skis' to sacrifice to early season snow).

Yes, it was the headset. In much worse condition than expected. Guess all of the heavy touring and gravel grinding indexed/brinelled/your preferred description both the crwon race and the upper race.
Installed a new Tange Levin and we’re back to normal, even with the front rack and bag.

Bright dry day for a ride in my little city.
I've been buying little items to make the cold weather more bearable.
Lately my rides have been short equipment/clothing testing ventures.
Adjustments and more adjustments to stay as comfortable as possible through the winter riding season.
I'm optimistic now, but that can change quickly being caught out in unexpected conditions.
The current weather forecast is dry for about 10 days out.
That is very strange for November.

Wow, a 25-degree temperature drop in 24 hours! Guess it's finally- really- November now.
Celebrated by taking the Cannondale ST out for a jaunt, as it's been on the trainer since March.

I'm liking it a lot. It's actually lower trail than most of the rest that I ride (which is hard to tell with the straight-bladed fork), so that felt a bit off at first, but I got used to it fast. It's super solid on descents, and I'm enjoying the performance of the components: 9-speed Shimano drivetrain w/ indexed bar-end shifters, V-O 46/30t crankset, Compass/RH brakes for braze-on centerpulls, 700 x 38mm wheels.
