If your ever in the area I can personally show you.
I hit the 10 mile mark at 22:44 the rest of the time was wheel spin down. This has been my personal best by 4 seconds. It's accurate compared to others on group rides.

What's been keeping you indoors?
I would think in the Dallas area you could ride year round with no problems, adjusting for the heat in the summer and avoiding the few snowy days in the winter.
Get some tights, some gloves, and winter riding shoes/boots and don't hold back.
Welcome to the C&V community.
I managed to squeeze in two rides this week. One solo on St. Patricks day, and with C&Ver Bluesdaddy on the Ides of March. The temp was a comfortable 50F and 38F respectively. Of course it didn't happen unless there were pictures.
Ides of March at 38F (I'm in yellow and Bluesdaddy is in blue (of course
)).

St. Patrick's at 50F (first the winter sand, and second the lake is still good for ice fishing).

That's a very C&V bike... in about 25-30 years,
if it's still in one piece.
Are you certain you know what a C&V bike looks like?
Here's one of mine, a 1939 Schwinn.

Finally got outdoors for a ride with my son today, Hit the Gateway trail but only got about a ten mile ride in because the Northern section of trail wasn't plowed so it was still under a foot of snow.
Felt great though

never did see the classic & vintage on the title, my bad. I was wondering why there were so many pics of older bikes posted. It's a year old now so thats close enough for C & V

Not a substantial ride, but I took my son for a loop around our neighbourhood; the Hilltop area of Tacoma. Wind was a little tough on the way back.

I was riding this:

A custom built 650 Track bike. Fun ride.

Oh and another highlight was seeing 2 fellow track-bike riders come past us as we waited to cross a main road. The leader held out his hand and said "down below" - it was too late when I realised what he was implying and my palm missed his by 10-20 cm! His bike was a newer alu frame, but the second rider's was a Panasonic. very nice.

27 mile ride via the Minuteman Trail outside of Boston on my Bianchi.
It wasn't a warm enough day to be pleasant exactly, but getting there!

Did my normal 15 mile loop on my Club...... Still a bit cold for a real comfortable ride, but much better than all the snow we had this winter.

I got out for my first mountain bike ride of the year today. I rode for two hours with a bunch of my friends, many of whom I haven't seen since the fall

I love those industrial pics! Older, semi-deserted towns/cities that time has left behind are my absolute favorite places to ride. Are there any resources on the web to track down more places like this?

I went out for a casual Sunday ride, a rarity for me, as usually I have some goal in mind when I start out. Today I just went out, not knowing where I would go. I finally searched out the back way into the nearby Maya ruin, Dzibilchaltun. The normal way in, in a car or a taxi, is a suicide run on a bike. I've been wanting to check this out for some months, and just haven't taken the time.

I scared a turkey vulture(another rarity, as we have mostly blacks) off of this snake.

48.8 miles in all. 75 degrees starting out at around 8, and 94 when I returned shortly after noon.

We spent a summer in Lake Placid and after the Triathlon I took this ride out of Chazy with my adopted daughter who did the Triathlon.

Been riding the Comp GS for the last two weekends, it just loves to go fast. Here it is catching it's breath at the Fountain near the house.
