I think my annual premium has gone up from £40 something to £50 something. So maybe a 25% increase, which sounds a lot, but 25% of next-to-nothing is still next-to-nothing
Apparently some people pay monthly to spread the cost and it works out quite a bit more expensive that way - no ****.

This is terribly distressing news. It looks like my aspirations of earning a few KOMs have been stolen from me.

I find it interesting that folks don't:
a) know the feature set of strava free vs strava premium.
b) know the feature set of Garmin connect. If you have a garmin and are on strava, likely you have the connect app as well on your phone. It takes both to make live segments work. Garmina has segments. It has social networking as well but not as refined or as easy to use as strava. Nor likely as much used.
c)understand the nature of my grievance with the price increase. It s-a-f has nothing to do with the dollar amount of the increase.

You seem to be of the opinion that this is a bad business decision that will bite them in the ***. Based on the general reactions in this thread, I wouldn't bet any of my own money on that. Strava is a large enough organization that you can be pretty darn sure that this decision was not made on a whim, but was analyzed and calculated thoroughly.

Everything should be free and be provided by the state. That's what I think
