The combination of the Zeus Gran Sport ends set, this seat binder treatment and the full-sloping crown strongly suggests a British origin. Capscrew binder most likely of fractional thread.

Bianchi Imola Rochester, Ny

I simply don't know enough about this model of bike to comment

Advertisement shows was asking $500 OBO and now shows $327. Lots of photos and looks clean.

Described only as "For Sale A Edoardo Bianchi Racing Bike $500 Or Bo"

I posted this over a week ago in hopes that one of you would remove this temptation.

Then @gaucho777 posted it again a few days later. "Certainly," I thought "one of them will snap it up."

Then, two days ago, my wife walked past as I was looking at this thread:

"What's that blue bike?"

"Thats an old handmade English mixte."

"It's pretty!"

My wife has just joined the N+1 club.

I bought one, a couple years ago, and stopped riding my other bikes. It currently sports Dia Compe aero levers, for much improved braking.

1988 Trek 360 Project Road Bike - Rare 64cm/25.5in Frame - $75 (Cohasset)

Great project bike with hard to find 64cm double-butted chromoly frame. Great for tall riders. Has been sitting for a while and is not ridable and some components would need replacing or at least a good cleaning. would need new chain and tires for sure.

Unfortunately no shop sticker.
The San Francisco shop was Fulton Street Cyclery. I went in there a few times to admire the Taylors in my youth.

Not sure which is cooler, a Jack Taylor mixte or the wife going N+1, combine the two and it's all good, well done!

Yeah these are awesome and $300 is a good price. I'd love a smaller one. Tough time of year for sellers - - many people are tapped out buying gifts.

For buyers it's a good time to make crazy low offers on eBay items. On a whim, I offered $150 on a $350 item and it was accepted.

@obrentharris, Glad to hear that Jack Taylor is going to a good home! If my wife had even a little interest in bikes, I might have tried to find a way to squeeze it under the Christmas tree. Alas, I hope it brings your wife many happy miles. It is indeed a pretty bike. Between this and the Capo Sieger, you are on a nice roll.

$50 low end Italvega in rough shape
TA cage, Technomic stem, Campy GS (? maybe) shifters . . .
I guess almost worth it if those tires are still good . . .

Saw that yesterday but the tape on the seat tube got me thinking stolen some years ago. Or I'm just too suspect of bikes with tape on them.

I always thought tape on tubes was an attempt to protect bikes from theft by obscurring the make. Not that it ever worked - - seemed like a tell that it was a good bike.

In this case it almost looks like a concientious owner wanted to protect the paint from their kludged fender mounting and then added a second wrap to make look like bands of paint. Lol, I guess our minds make the story we want.

Thank you Brent, that's the name!

Went there once circa '84 to see about transfers for a Tour of Britain I took in from a customer.

Find it interesting that Kenny built frame with a top tube rather than twin laterals. Did he ever do mixtes with twin laterals?

Smoke Near The Water

1988 Centurion Ironman Master Road Bike - Full Shimano 600 Tri-color - $225 (West Ashley)

"Up for sale is a stellar vintage Japanese-built road bike.

The Centurion Ironman bikes have a devout fan base. Do an internet search if you are not familiar and interested. They are very well built, light, and fast.

The Ironman frames were built with double butted Tange Champion 1 chromoly tubing.

The Ironman Master was built out with a full Shimano 600 Tri-color groupset.

The bike was overhauled about 4 years ago. It has only been ridden about 250 miles since that overhaul. The bike needs nothing.

Size is 56 cm.

$250. Firm.

Compare to listings on ebay. This is a great price for a ready-to-ride high quality vintage road bike."

This is an early 70-72 Italvega Nuovo Sport as evidenced by the lack of additional chrome beyond the fork socks, and rounded caps on the seat stays. The paint scheme was regular solid color with 2 bands of black on the seat tube. The top model Super Speciale was root beer brown metallic with 2 bands of exposed chrome in roughly the same places but the bands were shorter. It is very likely the NS in question has the original paint and black paint bands.

Here's a pic from a BF post: https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-v...9-trade-3.html

Also another Nuovo Sport that was converted to a fixie:

This Cannondale in New Jersey could be a nice bike for parts, the Record group looks to be in pretty good shape and those alloy shifters are hard to find nowadays; listed at $500
